Robert N. Taylor is a musician, who is probably best known to the neofolk movement, as he has been delighting ears and moving hearts for decades with his band “Changes”, which he founded together with Nicholas Tesluk.

For example, Changes was on tour in 2013 and gave a concert in Leipzig! Just a side note.

What is less well known, however, is that Robert is also a passionate painter and graphic artist. His drawings range from studies of a maple leaf to detailed glass art in domestic windows and paintings. Robert N. Taylor has dedicated his entire life to art and creation, self-development and mystical paths.

Changes – an eventful band history about Robert N. Taylor and Nicholas Tesluk

The band history of Changes is actually a long one, which never rested, constantly underwent reformation and reinvented itself again and again.

Changes has three phases in which the music developed around or through the two musicians Robert N. Taylor and Nicholas Tesluk before it reached the point that is known today as neofolk.

This last phase has been going on since around 1994 and is enjoying ever wider recognition even outside the neofolk scene. There is no doubt that Changes is one of the most profound bands in the genre today.

Music is not enough: Robert the painter, draftsman and designer & poet I already mentioned above that Robert does not waste his time and devotes himself to higher creations. I was particularly impressed by his brilliant studies and also his great glass works. You can admire some of his works below.

Working with symbols seems to be one of Robert's passions. Many of these outstanding designs radiate a very strong artistic power. And so what had to happen happened: I came across his VRIL Blitz sun wheel on my trips to the networks and it immediately caught my attention.

These are the well-known VRIL symbols, one of which I have already used in the "Today Mars..." design. However, Robert N. Taylor makes the VRIL symbol the only symbol in the design and has it reflected 12 times around the center. The result is a magical sun that captivates everyone.
