It cost me personally a lot of energy, time and money, and not least a lot of courage, to set up the entire shop again after so many years.
But there were certain reasons for doing it the way it was.
For one thing, the old shop was so slow after a short time that I personally would have a hard time shopping there. And I have been "tinkering" with the site for many years to improve it. Invested and moved to the new provider and what not. A dedicated server would probably have been an option too, but that would be a completely different financial number...
So for once with professionals!
As soon as the concept was clear, I chose professionals who would take care of the technical part. So one load was taken away, stable servers and, above all, lightning fast!
These and other activities "in the background" were very time-consuming and often prevented me from designing one or the other motif and offering it to you.
Countless hours of Project Nordmark were spent on the admin part. Then there are all the social media channels. I will of course continue to run them. Nobody will take the marketing part away from me. I don't want that anyway. After all, that's how I stay in touch with you.
Extensive hobby
Not always, but as your orders increased, the delay in shipping was my fault. I printed the shirts and hoodies myself, did the plotting and everything else. Then the packaging and shipping, warehousing including purchasing materials were in addition to the tasks in the background already mentioned. When you consider that this is a hobby alongside a full-time job and that you also have an intact family life, then it is understandable that as Project Nordmark grows, changes are also necessary.
But enough "complaining"!
Look forward to lots of new and varied motifs, cheap international shipping and the fact that you are also part of Project Nordmark. Without you I would never have been able to do it for so long.
