The idea was born on a cold winter night in 2007, just when I had kidnapped my girlfriend to faraway Poland to introduce her to her grandmother (spoiler: today she is my wife and 2 children followed: boy 14 and daughter 3, as of 2023).
The story behind Project Nordmark
Seized by the fascination with the subject of MilSF and SciFi, the idea was born to design a suitable motif and run a T-shirt shop.
After several drafts, the time had come and the famous 1.HGPN Haunebu test pilot shirt was ready. At least the design. Now it was time to find the right printer that would print the shirts. It didn't take long and the right supplier was found. Incidentally, after years of traveling, it's the printer that started it all. Greetings to Halle an der Saale at this point :)
The motif has remained unbeaten ever since and has been sold hundreds of times.
stopover in-house production
Anyone who has followed the story behind Project Nordmark will also know that many of the motifs were printed and plotted by me. For a while I had a 4F printing machine and many hundreds of blanks were made into shirts and sweaters. Even outside of the Project Nordmark range. But everything has its downsides. A "one-man company" including design, production, logistics and marketing alongside your main job, and not least family, is only feasible for a while. I talked about the difficulties and time pressure in the short blog post about the opening .
That was also the reason for moving away from in-house production and leaving it to professionals who can relieve me and Project Nordmark of the burden of production and logistics. This is the only way I can fully devote myself to new motifs and new products, and last but not least, stay in touch with you!
Thank you to all supporters from all over the world. Here's to the next few years!
